This was a good start to the season. We pushed forward from the kickoff creating some good chances to score, but poor decisions and poor finishing kept the oppontent in the game. We hit the post five times and the goalie about seven times. It didn't seem to be our day until in the twentieth minute we got a lot of bodies in their box and the ball was bounced around. In the end Dylan managed to get the ball to Robert and he finished from about six yards out. We continued to create chances but couldn't buy a goal. Patrick was playing some quality balls into space for our strikers the whole game, but finishing was a letdown. In the seventy forth minute we gave the ball away about thirty yards out and their player took one touch and blasted a shot at our keeper that managed to find the net. That seemed to wake the team up and we went right down the field and Patrick found Jamie open about twelve yards out and he beat a defender and slotted home the important goal. A couple of minutes later Blaise scored on an assist from Jamie. In the last minute Max passed to Dylan and he scored. Our defense was strong the whole game, limiting them to few chances. Our new players all contributed nicely to the team effort showing poise and determination. Our ball movement can and will get better as the players get to know each other. Like I said, a good start.
